On September 7, 2018, Helping Hands Alliance hosted our first Ice Cream Social at Olivia’s Ice Cream in Millstone, New Jersey. This fun, back to school event was created to foster relationships between families, with the focus being on families with children that have special needs.
We didn’t let the rain stop us! It was great to meet parents from various areas in New Jersey and their warriors! Olivia, from Olivia’s ice cream had a variety of flavors and topping combinations ready to go for us once we arrived.
It was especially nice to meet Su Reiser, Director of Monroe Special Sports in Monroe Township, New Jersey. Sue and her husband created Monroe Township Special Sports 15 years ago. They offer a variety of activities for children and young adults with special needs such as buddy ball, track, basketball, and soccer.
